Frequently Asked Questions
What is Derooj and why should I use it?
Derooj is Pakistan's cinema showtimes aggregator. Instead of checking six different cinema websites to find movie showtimes, Derooj shows you every movie, every showtime, across every cinema in your city — all in one place. It's the fastest way to decide where and when to watch a movie.
Which cinemas does Derooj cover?
Derooj covers 6 major cinema chains across 3 cities in Pakistan: Cinestar, Cinepax, Cue Cinemas, Universal Cinemas, Cinegold, and Nueplex. We cover cinemas in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
How often are showtimes updated?
Our scrapers run multiple times every day to ensure showtimes are accurate and up-to-date. If a cinema adds a new showtime or changes their schedule, Derooj will reflect it within hours.
Can I book tickets on Derooj?
Derooj does not sell tickets directly. When you find a showtime you like, we link you straight to the cinema's own website where you can complete your booking. Think of us as your showtimes search engine.
Is Derooj free to use?
Yes, Derooj is completely free. No sign-up required, no hidden fees. Just open the site and start browsing showtimes.
How do I find showtimes for a specific movie?
From the homepage, use the search bar to find your movie by name, or browse the Now Showing section. Tap on any movie to see all available showtimes across every cinema in your city, grouped by cinema and date.
Can I filter showtimes by cinema or date?
Yes. On the homepage, use the day filter to pick a date and the cinema dropdown to filter by specific cinemas. On movie detail pages, you can switch between dates and see showtimes organized by cinema.
What are movie ticket prices in Pakistan?
Movie ticket prices in Pakistan typically range from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,800 depending on the cinema, format (2D, 3D, IMAX), and seating type (standard, premium, gold). Derooj shows ticket prices where available so you can compare costs across cinemas before booking.
