Eleven movies in Karachi cinemas this week. Aag Lage Basti Mein is still the dominant force with 211 showtimes across all 4 cinemas. Project Hail Mary is at every cinema too with 76 showtimes. Super Mario Galaxy rounds out the top three with 52 showtimes and both 3D and Urdu options.
Karachi has an interesting mix this week. Two Indonesian horror films are playing (Alas Roban and Dasim), which you will not find in most Pakistani cities. The Curse of the Totem is new. And the horror selection overall is deep: six of the eleven movies have horror elements.

Week two and it has not slowed down. Evening shows are still filling up at both Nueplex locations. If you want a quiet hall, go on a Tuesday or Wednesday matinee.
Project Hail Mary

The Ryan Gosling sci-fi film is holding strong. If you have not seen it yet, this is the one I would recommend above everything else on this list. The adaptation from the Andy Weir novel is faithful and the space sequences are worth the big screen.
Nueplex DHA or Askari IV are your best bets for sound quality on this one.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
52 showtimes at all 4 cinemas. Available in 2D and 3D, and in both English and Urdu. Nueplex Askari IV, Nueplex DHA, Cinegold Karachi, and Cinepax Ocean Mall.
The family movie of the week. If you are taking kids, the 3D adds to the experience. The Urdu dub is available if your younger ones are more comfortable with that.
Alas Roban
27 showtimes at Nueplex Askari IV and Nueplex DHA. Available in Urdu and English. Karachi actually has a wider release for this one than Lahore, where it is at just one cinema.
An Indonesian horror film about a mother and daughter stranded on a haunted forest road. Based on Javanese folklore. The atmosphere and lead performance from Michelle Ziudith are the highlights. The scares are formulaic but the setting has real cultural weight. I gave it 2.5 out of 5 in my full review.
The Curse of the Totem
20 showtimes at Nueplex Askari IV and Nueplex DHA. Showing in Urdu.
The new release this week. Another horror entry, only at the Nueplex locations. If you have seen everything else and want something fresh, this is it.
Ready or Not: Here I Come
19 showtimes at Nueplex Askari IV, Cinepax Ocean Mall, and Nueplex DHA.
Horror comedy. Three cinemas are running it. If you want something lighter than the pure horror options, this balances scares with laughs.

They Will Kill You has 2 showtimes at Cinepax Ocean Mall. Action horror comedy. Two showtimes is about as limited as it gets. If you want this, check times before heading out.
