Movies Showing in Lahore This Week April 10-16, 2026

Omer Khan6 min read

Week two for Aag Lage Basti Mein, and it is still everywhere. 197 showtimes across all 8 Lahore cinemas. The new arrival this week is The Curse of the Totem at CUE and Universal. Project Hail Mary has expanded to 7 cinemas and is now the second most-screened movie in the city.

The Punjabi run continues. Bullah, Viyaah Kartaare Da, Ishqan De Lekhe, Rabb Da Radio 3, and Bambukat 2 are all still playing. That is five Punjabi films for the second straight week.

I finally saw Project Hail Mary at CUE on Thursday. The Atmos system does exactly what you want it to do with a space movie. Ryan Gosling is good in it. The adaptation is faithful to the book without being slavish about it. If you read the book, you will like this. If you did not, you will still like this.

For live showtimes without the commentary, the Lahore page on Derooj has real-time data from all eight cinemas. Updated multiple times a day.

Aag Lage Basti Mein

Still the king. 197 showtimes, all 8 cinemas. Down from 288 last week, which is normal for a second week. The halls are not as packed as opening weekend, but evening shows at Cinestar DHA Raya Club and CUE are still filling up.

Playing at Cinestar DHA Raya Club, Cinestar Township, Cinestar Xinhua Mall, Cinepax Packages Mall, Cinepax Amanah Mall, CUE Cinemas, Universal Emporium, and Cinegold Lahore. All in 2D.

Weekday matinees are your best bet if you want an empty hall and better seat choices. Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons have been wide open.

Project Hail Mary

This expanded from 6 cinemas last week to 7. Now at Cinestar DHA Raya Club, Cinestar Township, Cinestar Xinhua Mall, CUE Cinemas, Cinepax Packages Mall, Universal Emporium, and Cinegold Lahore. 79 showtimes total.

Urdu dub still at Universal. If you have family who prefers Urdu, Universal Emporium is running both English and Urdu versions.

Word of mouth is doing the work here. The showtime count went up, not down, in week two. That does not happen often. This one has legs.

The Curse of the Totem

The new release this week. 41 showtimes across CUE Cinemas and Universal Emporium. Available in both English and Urdu.

I have not seen this yet. It is a horror film, and CUE's Atmos setup is still my recommendation for anything in the horror genre. Every creak comes from somewhere specific. If you are going, go there.

Limited to just two cinemas, so check showtimes before heading out. This could expand next week if it performs, or it could shrink. Hard to tell with horror releases.

Bullah

75 showtimes at 6 cinemas. Playing at CUE, Universal, Cinestar Xinhua, Cinegold Lahore, Cinepax Packages, and Cinestar Township. Available in English and Punjabi.

Strong hold for a Punjabi action thriller. It picked up some showtimes compared to last week. Bullah is connecting with audiences in a way that the other Punjabi films this week are not quite matching.

Viyaah Kartaare Da

71 showtimes at 5 cinemas: Universal, Cinepax Amanah Mall, Cinepax Packages Mall, CUE, and Cinestar Township.

Solid numbers for a Punjabi comedy-romance. If you are choosing between the Punjabi options this week, this and Bullah have the widest releases.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Down from 8 cinemas to 6 this week, but still the family pick. 61 showtimes at Cinepax Packages, Cinestar Xinhua, CUE, Cinestar Township, Universal, and Cinegold Lahore.

3D still at Universal. If you missed it in 3D last week, you still have time. The 3D adds to the experience, especially the galaxy sequences.

Take the kids on a weekday afternoon. You will practically have the hall to yourself.

Ishqan De Lekhe

54 showtimes at 5 cinemas: Cinestar Xinhua, Cinepax Amanah Mall, CUE, Universal, and Cinepax Packages.

Down from 78 showtimes last week. Still the Punjabi romance option if that is what you are in the mood for.

What else is playing?

Dracula has 36 showtimes at CUE and Universal. Up from 26 last week. Available in English and Urdu. It found its audience.

Scream 7 is holding on with 22 showtimes at Universal and Cinepax Packages. If you have not seen it by now, you are running out of time.

Rabb Da Radio 3 has 20 showtimes at 4 cinemas: Cinepax Amanah Mall, Cinestar Township, Universal, and Cinepax Packages.

Ready or Not: Here I Come has 19 showtimes at Universal, Cinepax Packages, and CUE. Horror comedy. Worth it at CUE for the Atmos.

Hoppers (15 showtimes), Bambukat 2 (14 showtimes), Alas Roban (9 showtimes, Universal only), and They Will Kill You (8 showtimes, Cinepax Packages only) round out the list. If you are curious about Alas Roban, I wrote a full review.

Which movie should you watch in Lahore this week?

  • Aag Lage Basti Mein is still the safe bet. Everywhere, crowds still coming, easy to find a showtime.
  • Project Hail Mary at CUE if you want sci-fi with the best sound in the city. Or Universal for the Urdu dub. This is the movie of the week for me.
  • The Curse of the Totem at CUE if you want something new this week. Horror in Atmos is a different experience.
  • Super Mario Galaxy in 3D at Universal for kids. Weekday afternoons are empty.
  • Bullah or Viyaah Kartaare Da if you are into Punjabi cinema. Both have wide releases.

Showtimes are based on Derooj data as of April 12. Movies can gain or lose screens mid-week. For the latest, check Derooj's Lahore page.

How to book cinema tickets in Lahore

Cinepax through Bookme.pk is still the smoothest booking. CUE's own site (cuecinemas.com) is the best of any chain in Pakistan. Cinestar's app works better than their website.

Weekdays are wide open. If you can go Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon, go then. Better seats, no crowds.
