24 movies, 531 showtimes, 14 cinemas. That is the Pakistan cinema picture for June 19–21.

Obsession sits at the top with 133 showtimes at every cinema in the country — the only film with a presence at all 14 venues this weekend. Toy Story 5 opens wide with 61 showtimes across 11 cinemas in Lahore and Karachi. The Furious holds 59 showtimes at 13 cinemas. Zombeid and Backrooms both clear 50 showtimes, making this a competitive weekend with five films all above that mark.

Lahore carries the bulk as usual — 352 of the 531 total showtimes across 8 cinemas. Karachi runs 113 showtimes at 3 cinemas. Islamabad has 66 showtimes at 3 cinemas. Between them, the Punjabi contingent is solid: Oye Bhole Oye 2, Chal Mera Putt 4, Viyaah Kartaare Da, and Chaali Din are all running this weekend.

For live showtimes by city, time, and cinema, Derooj has real-time data from all 14 cinemas. No booking required to check availability.

Movies Showing in Lahore This Weekend

Lahore cinema showtimes this weekend: 352 across 8 cinemas, 24 movies total.

Every film on the national chart is playing in Lahore. Universal Emporium has the widest selection — it carries everything from Obsession and Toy Story 5 down to the limited Punjabi titles like Viyaah Kartaare Da, Shera, and Sardaar Ji 3. Cue Cinemas is the strongest pick for anything in the horror or sci-fi genre — the Dolby Atmos setup makes a real difference for Obsession and Backrooms. Cinepax Packages Mall has broad coverage across all the major titles.

The three Cinestar locations — Township, Xinhua Mall, and DHA Raya Club Phase 6 — all carry Obsession, Toy Story 5, The Furious, and Backrooms. Cinestar DHA Raya Club Phase 6 is the newest and cleanest of the three. Cinepax Amanah Mall has Obsession, Toy Story 5, Zombeid, and Oye Bhole Oye 2. Top 5 Movies This Weekend

Obsession

133 showtimes, 14 cinemas, every city. Horror/Thriller, rated 7.9, 108 minutes.

This is the film running at every cinema in Pakistan this weekend, which by itself tells you something. 70 showtimes in Lahore alone. 38 in Karachi, 25 in Islamabad. Universal Emporium leads all venues with 18 showtimes, followed by Cue Cinemas at 16 and Nueplex DHA at 16.

A 7.9 rating for a horror/thriller in Pakistan cinemas is high. Genre horror rarely holds that number past opening weekend. The showtime distribution tells you word of mouth has been working — cinemas have not pulled screens back the way they normally do for horror when it stalls.

If you are watching Obsession this weekend, CUE is my pick in Lahore for the Atmos sound. Nueplex DHA is the Karachi recommendation.

Toy Story 5

61 showtimes, 11 cinemas in Lahore and Karachi. Animation/Family/Adventure.

The weekend's headline new release. Opens at 61 showtimes which is a wide entry for an animated film — Universal Emporium leads with 12 showtimes, Cinepax Packages Mall at 10, Nueplex DHA at 10. All eight Lahore cinemas have it. All three Karachi cinemas have it. Islamabad does not.

The Toy Story brand has enough weight in Pakistan that it should hold well through the weekend. Evening shows on Friday and Saturday will fill. Weekday mornings are your best bet for empty halls with kids.

The Furious

59 showtimes, 13 cinemas. Action/Crime.

Second only to Obsession in terms of cinema reach — 13 of 14 cinemas have it this weekend. Universal Emporium carries 18 showtimes of The Furious, which is tied for most of any cinema this weekend. Cue Cinemas has 9. In Karachi, Cinegold Karachi and Nueplex DHA each have it. Islamabad has 4 showtimes split between Cinepax Jinnah Park and Cinepax World Trade Center.

For action this weekend, this is the widest option across the country.

Zombeid

58 showtimes, 12 cinemas. Romance/Thriller/Action.

Pakistan's zombie film, and it is running strong at 58 showtimes across 12 cinemas. Particularly strong in Karachi — 19 showtimes at all three cinemas, which puts it second in the city only to Obsession. In Lahore, Cinepax Amanah Mall leads with 9 showtimes, Universal Emporium at 10, Nueplex DHA at 10.

I wrote a full review of Zombeid if you want the longer take before committing to a ticket: Zombeid review.

Backrooms

54 showtimes, 11 cinemas. Horror/Mystery/Science Fiction.

The internet horror concept translated to cinema — 54 showtimes at 11 venues. Strong in Lahore with 35 showtimes, carrying at Universal Emporium (11), Cue Cinemas (10), and Cinepax Packages Mall (7). Karachi has it at all three cinemas with 16 showtimes. Islamabad is limited — 3 showtimes split between Cinepax Jinnah Park and Cinepax World Trade Center.

For this one, CUE Cinemas in Lahore or Nueplex DHA in Karachi. The horror genre rewards good sound.

How to Book Cinema Tickets in Pakistan

Each chain has a different booking experience this weekend.

Cinepax (Packages Mall, Amanah Mall, Ocean Mall, Jinnah Park, World Trade Center) — book through Bookme.pk. It is the most reliable third-party booking in Pakistan and works smoothly for all Cinepax locations.

CUE Cinemas — their own site at cuecinemas.com is the best cinema booking experience of any chain in the country. Seat selection is clear and the process is fast.

Cinestar (Township, Xinhua Mall, DHA Raya Club Phase 6) — the Cinestar app is better than their website. Use that if you are booking ahead.

Universal Emporium — book through their site or at the counter. Their online system works but the counter is reliable if you are already at Emporium Mall.

Nueplexnueplex.com handles Nueplex DHA bookings. Works well and the interface is clean.

Cinegold (Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad) — Cinegold offers Gold, Red, and Platinum seating options. Book through their site or at the counter for the preferred tier.

Friday and Saturday evening shows for Obsession and Toy Story 5 will sell out at the better cinemas. If you are planning either of those this weekend, book ahead. Weekday afternoon shows this week are wide open across the board.
