Michael dropped from 324 showtimes last week to 100 this week, which is a steep fall but still good enough for #2. Aag Lage Basti Mein continues its long run at #3 with 96 showtimes. 23 movies total, 711 showtimes across Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.

The big shift this week is how quickly showtimes are dropping overall. Last week had 1,325 total showtimes. This week it is 711. That is nearly half. Cinemas are thinning schedules across the board, which usually means they are waiting for next week's releases. If you are planning to catch something, do it now — screens are shrinking fast.

#1 Mortal Kombat II — 121 Showtimes at 14 Cinemas

The widest release in the country this week. 121 showtimes, 14 cinemas, available in both English and Urdu. Cinepax Ocean Mall in Karachi leads with 21 showtimes, followed by Cinegold Karachi with 20 and Cinegold Islamabad with 15.

#2 Michael — 100 Showtimes at 13 Cinemas

Down from 324 last week to 100 this week. A big drop, but Michael is still at 13 cinemas — only missing Cinepax World Trade Center and Nueplex Askari IV. Cinepax Packages Mall leads with 20 showtimes, Cinepax Ocean Mall has 17, and Cinegold Karachi has 15.

The music biopic is settling into its second week. If you missed the opening rush, this is actually a better week to see it — halls will be less packed and you can get better seats. At 128 minutes and a 7.6 rating, it is still the best-reviewed movie on the chart. CUE in Lahore with 8 showtimes is my pick for this — the Atmos system does justice to the music sequences.

#3 Aag Lage Basti Mein — 96 Showtimes at 10 Cinemas

Still here. Down to 96 showtimes from 263 last week, but the fact that it is still running at 10 cinemas after all these weeks says something. Cinepax Ocean Mall in Karachi is carrying this one with 37 showtimes — that is more than a third of its total national count at a single cinema. Karachi is clearly where this movie still has legs.

Lost the Cinestar locations almost entirely (just 1-2 showtimes at DHA Raya Club area listings). If you are in Lahore and want to catch it, Cinepax Packages Mall has 10 and Cinepax Amanah Mall has 7. In Islamabad, Cinepax Jinnah Park still has 20 showtimes.

#4 The Devil Wears Prada 2 — 72 Showtimes at 11 Cinemas

Expanded from Karachi-only last week to a full nationwide release. 72 showtimes across 11 cinemas including all three cities. Cinepax Packages Mall in Lahore leads with 13, Cinegold Islamabad has 10, and Cinegold Karachi has 10.

At 119 minutes with a 6.8 rating, it is in that safe-sequel territory. If you liked the first one, this will scratch the itch. The fashion world comedy-drama formula has not changed, and the wider release suggests it performed well enough in its Karachi opening to justify the expansion. Available in English only, 2D.

#5 Mera Lyari — 67 Showtimes at 11 Cinemas

The Pakistani film is having a solid run. 67 showtimes across 11 cinemas, with Karachi expectedly leading — Cinepax Ocean Mall has 15 and Cinegold Karachi has 15. But it has spread well beyond Karachi into Lahore and Islamabad. Cinepax Amanah Mall and Cinepax Packages Mall in Lahore each have 7 showtimes.

At 98 minutes it is one of the shorter films on the chart. Playing at all three Islamabad cinemas including Cinepax World Trade Center with 6 showtimes. The Cinestars and CUE in Lahore have minimal showings (1 each), so stick to Cinepax or Cinegold for this one.

Lahore has the widest selection this week — all 23 movies are playing somewhere in the city across 8 cinemas. Universal Emporium remains the most diverse programmer with titles ranging from Mortal Kombat II to Khushkhabri to Alas Roban. Cinepax Packages Mall has the highest showtime counts across the major titles.

The Lahore-only programming includes Pitt Siyapa (19 showtimes at 4 cinemas), Hoppers and Animal Farm (both CUE exclusives), Mara Layari and Khushkhabri (Universal exclusives), and the last remaining shows of Bullah, Ishqan De Lekhe, and Viyaah Kartaare Da at Universal Emporium and Cinepax Packages Mall.

Karachi is where Aag Lage Basti Mein is still thriving — 47 of its 96 national showtimes are in Karachi alone. Mera Lyari also performs strongest here with 33 showtimes across 3 cinemas, which makes sense given the film's subject matter.
