Top Movies in Pakistan This Week (August 10 – 16, 2026)

Spider-Man: Brand New Day drops 29% from its opening-week peak — 885 showtimes this week, down from 1,248 — but still owns 66% of every screen in Pakistan. The interesting number is not Spider-Man's decline. It is everyone else's expansion. The chart jumped from 13 movies last week to 20. Seven new titles showed up, and the mid-card is finally breathing again.

The Odyssey actually gained showtimes: 177 this week versus 168 last week, now at 10 cinemas. Carry On Jatta 4 is steady at 86. Obsession climbed from 20 to 30 — CUE Cinemas went from 1 showtime to 10. And the new arrivals include The Great Punjab Robbery, The End of Oak Street, Hellcat, and a late appearance from PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie.

1. Spider-Man: Brand New Day

885 showtimes. 15 cinemas. 2D and 3D. English and Urdu. Still dominant, still everywhere — but the decline from 1,248 is real. Cinemas are giving screens back to other films. Science Fiction/Action/Adventure, 145 minutes, rated 7.9.

Nueplex Askari IV in Karachi leads with 142 showtimes, down from 265 last week. Universal Emporium in Lahore has 132, CUE Cinemas has 105, and Nueplex DHA in Karachi has 84. Cinepax Packages Mall has 73 and Cinepax Ocean Mall in Karachi has 67.

In Islamabad, Cinepax Jinnah Park has 56 showtimes, Cinegold Islamabad has 28, and Cinepax World Trade Center has 33.

3D and Urdu dubbed versions are still running. If you have not seen it yet, the second week is the sweet spot — shorter queues, better seat availability, still on the biggest screens. CUE in Dolby Atmos remains the pick for Lahore. Evening shows are still busy on weekends, but weekday matinees are wide open.

2. The Odyssey

177 showtimes at 10 cinemas. Up from 168 at 9 cinemas last week — Christopher Nolan's epic is gaining screens in its later weeks, which almost never happens. Adventure/Action/Fantasy, 173 minutes, rated 8.0. 2D, English and Urdu.

CUE Cinemas leads with 45 showtimes, Universal Emporium has 40, and Nueplex Askari IV has 29. Nueplex DHA has 19 and Cinestar Township has 16. The Odyssey added Cinepax Packages Mall and Cinepax Ocean Mall this week with 4 shows each.

The legs on this film are remarkable. While Spider-Man sheds screens, The Odyssey is picking them up. At 173 minutes it is a commitment, but on a big screen with good sound, there is nothing else like it this week. If you have been putting it off, go now — the halls are emptier and seats are easier to get.

3. Carry On Jatta 4

86 showtimes at 7 cinemas. Identical showtime count to last week, but expanded from 5 cinemas to 7. Comedy, 142 minutes, rated 8.0.

Universal Emporium has the bulk with 44 showtimes — up from 33 last week. CUE Cinemas has 15, Cinepax Packages Mall has 12, and Cinestar Township and Cinestar Xinhua Mall each have 4. Cinepax Jinnah Park in Islamabad and Cinepax Amanah Mall in Lahore round it out.

The Carry On Jatta franchise continues to hold ground in Lahore — six of its seven cinemas are in Lahore, which makes sense for Punjabi cinema. Universal Emporium is the Punjabi film stronghold and it shows. If you are in Islamabad, Jinnah Park is your only shot.

4. Evil Dead Burn

54 showtimes at 6 cinemas. Down from 61 at 4 cinemas, so fewer showtimes but wider distribution — two new cinemas picked it up this week. Horror, 110 minutes, rated 7.9. 2D, English and Urdu.

Universal Emporium has 20, Nueplex Askari IV has 12, and CUE Cinemas jumped to 10 (up from 6). Nueplex DHA in Karachi added 5 shows, and Cinepax Packages Mall and Cinestar Xinhua Mall have 4 and 3 respectively.

CUE nearly doubling its showtimes tells you this film has an audience that keeps showing up. If you like horror and you are in Lahore, the Atmos at CUE is still the way to experience it.

5. Obsession

30 showtimes at 3 cinemas. Up from 20 last week — the biggest percentage gainer in the top 5. Horror/Thriller, 109 minutes, rated 8.2. 2D, English only.

Universal Emporium has 12, CUE Cinemas jumped from 1 showtime to 10, and Nueplex Askari IV holds steady at 8. The 8.2 rating remains the highest on the chart this week.

CUE going from 1 to 10 showtimes is notable. That does not happen unless audiences are asking for it. Obsession has quietly become the best-reviewed and most persistent horror film on the chart. If you missed it during the Spider-Man crush last week, now is the time.

Full Pakistan Cinema Chart — Week of August 10

The chart grew by 7 titles this week. That is what happens when Spider-Man gives back screens — there is finally room for smaller films to get a slot. Aag Lage Basti Mein ticked up from 12 to 16 showtimes — still alive after months of its Pakistani run. Moana holds at 12 showtimes across 4 cinemas, making it the family pick alongside Toy Story 5 at 9 shows. Michael — the Michael Jackson biopic — stays at 11 showtimes, CUE-only.

The new entries are scattered: The Great Punjab Robbery is a Punjabi crime thriller with 12 showtimes at Universal Emporium and Cinepax Packages Mall. The End of Oak Street is a sci-fi mystery at Nueplex DHA and Nueplex Askari IV in Karachi. Hellcat is a thriller also at the Nueplex cinemas. Karachi

Four cinemas, 471 showtimes, 13 movies. Karachi matches Lahore in movie count despite having half the cinemas.

Nueplex Askari IV is the Karachi cinema to go to if you want anything besides Spider-Man — it has The Odyssey (29 shows), Evil Dead Burn (12), Obsession (8), Aag Lage Basti Mein (8), Colony (4), Moana (4), and Zombeid Pakistani (4). Nueplex DHA also has variety with The Odyssey (19), Evil Dead Burn (5), The End of Oak Street (5), Hellcat (4), and PAW Patrol (3). Karachi's Nueplex locations are where the mid-card lives.

Islamabad

Three cinemas, 130 showtimes, 4 movies. The capital remains the thinnest market.

Islamabad has only 4 movies this week — Spider-Man, The Odyssey, Carry On Jatta 4, and Moana. All three cinemas are overwhelmingly Spider-Man. Cinepax Jinnah Park is the only one with alternatives: The Odyssey (8 shows), Carry On Jatta 4 (4), and Moana (1). If you want variety in the capital, Jinnah Park is the only option.
