Top Movies in Pakistan This Week (July 20 – 26, 2026)

Nineteen movies and 1,040 showtimes across 14 cinemas. That is the Pakistan cinema chart this week — a complete reversal from last Monday's barren single-movie slate. The Odyssey owns the chart with 383 showtimes at every tracked cinema in the country. Evil Dead Burn has landed at #2 with 141 shows, Carry On Jatta 4 holds strong as the Punjabi pick at #3, and horror titles have taken over a third of the chart.

The big number: The Odyssey accounts for 37% of all scheduled showtimes this week. It is at all 14 cinemas. That is rare. Most movies top out at 10 or 11 cinemas. This one has the kind of coverage we usually only see from massive franchise releases.

1. The Odyssey

383 showtimes. 14 cinemas. Every single cinema we track. Adventure/Action/Fantasy, 173 minutes, rated 7.7. Available in 2D — both English and Urdu.

CUE Cinemas in Lahore leads with 78 showtimes, which is more than some entire movies get in a week. Cinegold Karachi follows with 49, then Nueplex Askari IV with 40. In Islamabad, Cinegold Islamabad and Cinepax Jinnah Park split the load with 35 and 24 showtimes respectively.

At 173 minutes, plan for a three-hour block with previews. If you are in Lahore, CUE Cinemas with the Dolby Atmos setup is the obvious choice for a film this scale. For Karachi, Cinegold Karachi or Nueplex Askari IV have the most options. The Urdu dub option opens this up for family groups who prefer it — check individual cinema listings for which shows are English and which are Urdu.

2. Evil Dead Burn

141 showtimes at 11 cinemas. Horror/Thriller, 110 minutes, rated 6.8. English and Urdu. Plus a separate "Adults Only" cut running at Cinegold Karachi with 35 additional showtimes — so the combined Evil Dead Burn total is closer to 176 shows.

Nueplex Askari IV in Karachi leads with 30 showtimes. In Lahore, Cinepax Packages Mall has 28 and CUE Cinemas has 17. All three Cinestar locations in Lahore are running it too. For Islamabad, Cinepax Jinnah Park has 12 showtimes.

Horror in Atmos at CUE is worth the trip if you are in Lahore. The directional sound adds to the experience with a film like this. If you are in Karachi and want the uncut version, Cinegold Karachi is running the Adults Only cut exclusively.

3. Carry On Jatta 4

120 showtimes at 10 cinemas. Comedy, 142 minutes, rated 8.0. The Punjabi comedy franchise continues to draw.

Biggest presence in Lahore: Cinegold Lahore leads with 21 showtimes, CUE Cinemas has 18, Cinepax Packages Mall has 16, and Cinepax Amanah Mall has 15. Cinestar Township adds 12. In Islamabad, Cinepax Jinnah Park and Cinepax World Trade Center combine for 24 showtimes. Cinegold Islamabad has 7.

Karachi is the weak spot — only Cinepax Ocean Mall with 3 showtimes. Punjabi comedies have always leaned Lahore-heavy, and this is no exception. If you are in Karachi and want to see it, those 3 shows are all you have.

4. Moana

76 showtimes at 10 cinemas. Family/Fantasy/Comedy/Adventure, 115 minutes. The live-action Moana is the family pick this week.

Karachi is where Moana is strongest. Cinegold Karachi has 14 showtimes, and both Nueplex locations have 8 each. Cinegold Islamabad matches with 14. In Lahore, CUE Cinemas has 7, with smaller showings at Cinepax Amanah Mall (5), Cinestar Xinhua Mall (4), and Cinepax Packages Mall (4).

Weekday matinees are wide open for this one. If you have kids who want to go, a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon means you can pick your seats.

5. Obsession

57 showtimes at 8 cinemas. Horror/Thriller, 108 minutes, rated 8.3 — the highest-rated movie in the top 5. English only.

Karachi-heavy distribution: Nueplex DHA and Nueplex Askari IV each have 8 showtimes, Cinegold Karachi has 7, and Cinepax Ocean Mall has 6. In Lahore, CUE Cinemas leads with 12 and Cinepax Packages Mall has 8. Both Cinestar Township and Cinestar Xinhua Mall have 4 each.

No Islamabad cinemas are showing Obsession this week. If you are in the capital and want horror, Evil Dead Burn is your option.

Note: Evil Dead Burn at #7 is the same film as #2, just the Adults Only cut at Cinegold Karachi. Minions & Monsters at #6 and #15 are the same movie listed differently by CUE and other chains. Combined, that is 64 showtimes for the Minions film.

Lahore

Seven cinemas. The deepest selection in the country. CUE Cinemas is running the most titles — everything from The Odyssey to Michael to Supergirl. Cinepax Packages Mall has the widest variety too, with 12 titles including Siccin 9 and Chal Mera Putt 4 that are not showing anywhere else.

CUE Cinemas with 174 showtimes is the busiest cinema in the country this week. If you want the best sound system and the most choices in Lahore, that is where you go.

Karachi

Four cinemas. Karachi leans toward Hollywood and horror this week.

Nueplex Askari IV leads Karachi with 160 showtimes. If you want Carry On Jatta 4 in Karachi, Cinepax Ocean Mall is your only option — just 3 showtimes. Moana is much better covered in Karachi than in other cities, with all four cinemas showing it.

Islamabad

Three cinemas. Lighter selection than Lahore and Karachi, but the big movies are all represented.

Cinepax Jinnah Park has the most options in the capital with 88 showtimes across 7 movies. Obsession is not showing in Islamabad at all — the only top-5 movie missing from the capital.

The chart is alive again after last week's ghost town. The Odyssey is the clear headliner, and its presence at all 14 cinemas says a lot about how cinemas are betting on it. Evil Dead Burn is the horror pick — go to CUE in Lahore for the Atmos version. Carry On Jatta 4 continues its Punjabi-comedy run. And if you want something quieter, Michael at CUE Cinemas is a CUE-exclusive music drama rated 8.7 that is flying under the radar.
