Top Movies in Pakistan This Week (August 3 – 9, 2026)

Spider-Man: Brand New Day had 150 advance showtimes last Monday. This Monday it has 1,248 — at every cinema in Pakistan. That is 76% of all 1,637 scheduled showtimes this week across 15 cinemas in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. The Pakistan cinema chart this week is Spider-Man and everything else.

The Odyssey drops from its #1 perch to #2 with 168 showtimes, down from 383 two weeks ago. Carry On Jatta 4 holds at #3 with 86 shows. Evil Dead Burn hangs on at #4 with 61, and Obsession rounds out the top 5 at 20. Everything from #6 down is in single digits. Spider-Man ate the screens.

1. Spider-Man: Brand New Day

1,248 showtimes. 15 cinemas. 2D and 3D. English and Urdu. There is not much more to say — this is one of the most dominant opening weeks we have tracked. Spider-Man accounts for three out of every four showtimes in the country. Science Fiction/Action/Adventure, 145 minutes, rated 8.0.

Nueplex Askari IV in Karachi leads with 265 showtimes — more than The Odyssey had at its peak across any single cinema. Universal Emporium in Lahore has 153, Cinepax Packages Mall has 125, and Nueplex DHA in Karachi has 124. CUE Cinemas in Lahore has 119 — down from its 48-showtime advance booking lead, which tells you how aggressively everyone else ramped up.

3D screenings are available at select cinemas. If you want the full Spider-Man-in-3D experience, check Universal Emporium in Lahore or the Nueplex locations in Karachi. Urdu dubbed versions are also running alongside the English prints.

In Islamabad, Cinepax Jinnah Park has 81 showtimes and Cinepax World Trade Center has 47. Cinegold Islamabad adds 35. The capital has options.

For the Dolby Atmos experience in Lahore, CUE Cinemas remains the pick. Web-slinging in Atmos is exactly as good as you think it is. Evening shows are selling out — book ahead or go for a weekday matinee.

2. The Odyssey

168 showtimes at 9 cinemas. Down from 383 at 14 cinemas two weeks ago, which is a natural decline for a Christopher Nolan epic in its later weeks. Adventure/Action/Fantasy, 173 minutes, rated 7.9. 2D only, English and Urdu.

CUE Cinemas still leads with 58 showtimes — CUE has been The Odyssey's strongest home in Pakistan throughout its run. Universal Emporium has 30, Nueplex Askari IV has 28, and Cinestar Township has 16.

If you have not seen this yet and you are waiting for crowds to thin out, now is the time. The halls are emptier, seats are easier to get, and a 173-minute Nolan film deserves a big screen. Go before it loses more cinemas.

3. Carry On Jatta 4

86 showtimes at 5 cinemas. The Punjabi comedy franchise holds its ground even against Spider-Man. Comedy, 142 minutes, rated 8.0.

Universal Emporium leads with 33 showtimes — Universal has been the Punjabi film stronghold for months. CUE Cinemas has 18, Cinepax Amanah Mall has 16, and Cinepax Packages Mall has 15. Cinepax Jinnah Park in Islamabad has 4.

This is mostly a Lahore film. Four of its five cinemas are in Lahore, which makes sense for a Punjabi comedy. If you are in Islamabad and want to catch it, Jinnah Park is your only option — do not wait too long.

4. Evil Dead Burn

61 showtimes at 4 cinemas. Horror, 110 minutes, rated 6.8. 2D, English and Urdu.

Universal Emporium has the most at 24, Cinepax Packages Mall has 19, Nueplex Askari IV in Karachi has 12, and CUE Cinemas has 6. Down significantly from 141 showtimes two weeks ago, but still holding with enough screens to find a showtime.

If horror is your thing and you are in Lahore, CUE in Atmos is still the way to go — even with only 6 shows, the sound system makes it a different film.

5. Obsession

20 showtimes at 3 cinemas. Horror/Thriller, 109 minutes, rated 8.2. 2D, English only.

Universal Emporium has 11, Nueplex Askari IV has 8, and CUE Cinemas has 1. The 8.2 rating is the highest on the chart this week, but the showtime count tells you it is being squeezed out by Spider-Man. If you want to see it, go this week — it may not survive another round of schedule cuts.

Full Pakistan Cinema Chart — Week of August 3

The gap between #1 and #2 tells the whole story. Spider-Man has seven times more showtimes than The Odyssey. Everything from Toy Story 5 down is barely hanging on — single-digit showtimes, one or two cinemas each. Aag Lage Basti Mein still showing at 2 cinemas is a testament to its long Pakistani run, though 12 showtimes is its lowest point yet. Toy Story 5 and Moana are the family options if you have already seen Spider-Man, both at CUE Cinemas and Universal Emporium. Michael — the Michael Jackson biopic — has 5 shows at CUE only.

Lahore

Eight cinemas, roughly 850 showtimes. Lahore has the most screens and the widest selection this week.

Universal Emporium leads Lahore in total showtimes and is the go-to for 3D, Urdu dubs, and Punjabi films. CUE Cinemas has the widest movie selection and the best sound system. For Carry On Jatta 4, Universal and CUE are your best bets with 33 and 18 shows respectively.

Karachi

Four cinemas, roughly 615 showtimes. Karachi is Spider-Man central — Nueplex Askari IV alone has 265 shows.

Nueplex Askari IV is running the most showtimes of any cinema in the country. If you are in Karachi, Askari IV also has The Odyssey (28 shows), Evil Dead Burn (12), Obsession (8), Moana (4), and Aag Lage Basti Mein (8) — it is the only Karachi cinema with anything besides Spider-Man this week.

Islamabad

Three cinemas, roughly 171 showtimes. The capital is the thinnest market this week.

Cinepax Jinnah Park is the only Islamabad cinema with more than just Spider-Man — it also has The Odyssey (4 shows) and Carry On Jatta 4 (4 shows). If you want options beyond Spider-Man in the capital, Jinnah Park is where to go.

It is a Spider-Man week. There is no other way to describe it. 76% of every showtime in the country belongs to one film — and the numbers will likely grow as more sessions get added through the week. The Odyssey is still worth catching before it shrinks further, and Carry On Jatta 4 is holding its own as the Punjabi option. But if you have not seen Spider-Man yet, the question is not whether to go — it is which cinema and which format.
