Top Movies in Pakistan This Week (July 27 – August 2, 2026)

One movie, 150 showtimes, 9 cinemas. On paper this looks like another thin Monday chart — but it is a very different story from three weeks ago, when The Odyssey opened the week alone with 17 shows. This is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it does not release until Friday July 31, and cinemas have already posted 150 advance showtimes for it. Nothing else is even listed yet.

That is the headline: cinemas are clearing the decks for Spider-Man. CUE Cinemas alone has 48 advance shows — for a film that is not out for another four days. For comparison, The Odyssey's biggest single-cinema week peaked at 78 shows at CUE, and that was as the reigning #1 with all screens in play.

The rest of the chart is a scheduling gap, not a clearance. Holdovers like The Odyssey, Evil Dead Burn, and Carry On Jatta 4 have not been re-listed yet, and Nueplex, Cinegold, and Universal Emporium have not posted their weekly schedules at all. Expect the chart to fill out through Monday.

1. Spider-Man: Brand New Day

150 advance showtimes across 9 cinemas, and the film opens Friday. Science Fiction/Action/Adventure, 145 minutes. 2D, English only in the current data.

CUE Cinemas in Lahore leads the country with 48 showtimes — 32% of everything posted. Cinepax Ocean Mall in Karachi has 28, and Cinepax Jinnah Park in Islamabad has 21. In Lahore, Cinepax Packages Mall adds 15, Cinestar Township and Cinestar Xinhua Mall have 9 each, Cinepax Amanah Mall has 8, and Cinestar DHA Raya Club rounds it out with 3. Cinepax World Trade Center in Islamabad has 9.

If you want opening-weekend seats, book now rather than Friday. A Spider-Man film with this much advance inventory will still sell out its evening shows — that is how these releases go every time. My pick in Lahore is CUE for the Dolby Atmos; a web-slinging film is exactly what that sound system is for. In Islamabad, Cinepax Jinnah Park gives you the most flexibility with 21 shows.

Karachi is thinner than it should be. Cinepax Ocean Mall is the only Karachi cinema with bookings open, but that changes once Nueplex and Cinegold post — both will run this film heavily.

Lahore

Six cinemas have Spider-Man bookings open — 92 of the 150 national showtimes are in Lahore.

CUE Cinemas with 48 shows is the obvious Lahore pick — most options, best sound. Cinegold Lahore and Universal Emporium have not posted yet; check back on Derooj later today.

Karachi

One cinema reporting so far: Cinepax Ocean Mall with 28 showtimes.

Nueplex DHA, Nueplex Askari IV, and Cinegold Karachi typically post later on Monday. All three will carry Spider-Man — Karachi's real opening-weekend inventory is still to come.

Islamabad

Two cinemas reporting: Cinepax Jinnah Park and Cinepax World Trade Center.

Cinepax Jinnah Park leads the capital with 21 shows. Cinegold Islamabad has not posted its schedule yet.
