Top Movies in Pakistan This Week (April 19 – 25, 2026)
Aag Lage Basti Mein will not let go. 129 showtimes, all 15 cinemas. It has dropped from the 197 it had last week in Lahore alone, but it is still the widest release in the country by a comfortable margin. The Mummy has climbed to the #2 spot with 99 showtimes — also at all 15 cinemas. When your top two movies are playing at literally every tracked cinema in the country, the week is not exactly competitive at the top.
The interesting story is further down the chart. Michael debuted at #3 with 40 showtimes across 12 cinemas. Project Hail Mary dropped from its peak but is holding steady at #4. And there are five Pakistani and Punjabi films in the top 10 — Khushkhabri, Bullah, Viyaah Kartaare Da, Ishqan De Lekhe, and Normal. That is a strong local showing.

Aag Lage Basti Mein
#1 — 129 showtimes across 15 cinemas
Still the biggest movie in the country. Playing at every single tracked cinema from Nueplex Askari IV in Karachi (26 showtimes, the most of any single location) to Cinestar Xinhua Mall in Lahore (1 showtime). The distribution is top-heavy toward Karachi — Cinegold Karachi has 18 and Cinepax Ocean Mall has 13.
Available in 2D only, English. The showtime count is down from last week, which is expected for a title in its third week. But 129 is still dominant. Evening shows are still filling up.
Lee Cronin's The Mummy
#2 — 99 showtimes across 15 cinemas
Also at every cinema. Nueplex Askari IV leads again with 21 showtimes, followed by Universal Emporium with 13. Available in both English and Urdu — if you want the Urdu dub, check Universal and the Nueplex locations.
The Mummy has settled into its groove. It is not going to catch Aag Lage Basti Mein, but 99 showtimes is a strong hold. The horror-mystery genre always does well in Pakistan, and the Lee Cronin name carries weight after the Evil Dead reboot.
Michael
#3 — 40 showtimes across 12 cinemas
The music biopic is connecting. Nueplex DHA has the most showtimes with 9, followed by Cue Cinemas with 6 and Nueplex Askari IV with 6. Rated 6.9 on TMDB, 127 minutes.
Not playing at Cinegold Karachi, Cinegold Islamabad, or Cinepax Lake City — so Karachi audiences should head to Nueplex, and Islamabad is limited to Cinepax Jinnah Park and Cinepax World Trade Center. 2D English only.
Project Hail Mary
#4 — 37 showtimes across 11 cinemas
Down from its peak but still holding. Cue Cinemas and Nueplex Askari IV lead with 7 showtimes each, followed by Nueplex DHA with 6. The 8.2 TMDB rating — the highest on this week's chart — tells the story. Word of mouth is keeping this alive.
If you have not seen it yet, Cue Cinemas in Dolby Atmos is still my recommendation. The space sequences deserve the best sound you can get. At 157 minutes, bring snacks.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
#5 — 31 showtimes across 12 cinemas
The family pick. Available in both 2D and 3D — if you want 3D, check showtimes carefully as most locations are running the 2D version. Cue Cinemas, Cinepax Packages Mall, Cinegold Karachi, and Nueplex Askari IV each have 4 showtimes.
Still the best option for kids. Weekday afternoons remain wide open at most cinemas. Rated 6.7, 98 minutes — tight enough that the kids will not get restless.

By City
Lahore has the deepest selection this week. Cue Cinemas is showing 16 titles — more than any other cinema in the country. Cinepax Packages Mall has 15 and Universal Emporium has 14. Lahore-only titles this week include Hoppers, Bambukat 2, They Will Kill You, and Scream 7. If you want Punjabi cinema, Lahore is where the selection is — Bullah, Viyaah Kartaare Da, Ishqan De Lekhe, and Khushkhabri are all concentrated here.
Karachi is led by Nueplex Askari IV, which is running 12 titles and has the highest single-cinema showtime count for both Aag Lage Basti Mein (26) and The Mummy (21). Nueplex DHA has 8 titles. The Drama is strongest in Karachi with 9 of its 10 showtimes at the two Nueplex locations. Cinegold Karachi is focused on the big four — Aag Lage Basti Mein, The Mummy, Super Mario Galaxy, and Normal.
Islamabad has three cinemas — Cinepax Jinnah Park, Cinepax World Trade Center, and Cinegold Islamabad. Between them you can see the top 5 movies plus Normal. Cinegold Islamabad has the best selection with the top 5 plus Normal (12 total showtimes for Project Hail Mary here — the most of any Islamabad cinema for that film at 4).
What to watch this week
The chart is stable. Aag Lage Basti Mein and The Mummy are not going anywhere. If you have already seen those, Project Hail Mary is still the best movie playing right now — the 8.2 rating is earned. For families, Super Mario Galaxy in 3D if you can find it, 2D if you cannot. And if you want to support local cinema, the Punjabi lineup is five films deep this week.
