Where to Watch The Mummy in Pakistan (2026) — Showtimes, Cinemas & Ticket Tiers
Lee Cronin's The Mummy opens Friday, April 17, 2026. Twelve cinemas across Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad have it on the schedule. 229 showtimes across opening weekend. And despite what the trailer suggests, this is not the Brendan Fraser Mummy. It is the Evil Dead Rise director's take — a straight horror reboot starring Jack Reynor and Laia Costa.
If you are looking for where to watch it, what time, and which cinema actually makes sense for you, this guide has the live showtime data pulled from every cinema chain we track. Updated April 16.
For live showtimes that update through the day, the Mummy page on Derooj pulls direct from every cinema's own schedule. This post is the planning guide. That page is the booking reference.
Quick answer: what should you pick?
- Best seat quality in Lahore: Universal Emporium Ultra or Gold lounge. Premium recliners, solid sound. 15 Ultra shows on opening weekend alone.
- Most showtimes in Karachi: Nueplex Askari IV with 42 showtimes including six Urdu dubbed shows and after-midnight slots.
- Best late-night option: Nueplex Askari IV with shows at 11:20 PM, 11:25 PM, 01:15 AM, and 02:00 AM on opening day.
- Best Urdu dubbed option: Nueplex Askari IV (Karachi) has the deepest Urdu schedule. Universal Emporium is the Lahore pick for Urdu shows.
- Islamabad is thin: Only Cinepax Jinnah Park and Cinepax World Trade Center are running it. 3 shows on opening day.
- Skip if you want 3D or IMAX: It does not exist for this film. Every show, every cinema, is 2D.
The movie in one paragraph
A journalist's young daughter vanishes into the desert. Eight years later she returns, and the family reunion becomes a nightmare. Directed by Lee Cronin (Evil Dead Rise). Starring Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, and May Calamawy. 133 minutes. Horror and mystery. TMDB rating 7.9 at the time of writing, though that will settle after wider release. Movie page with trailer and full cast here.
This is a Lee Cronin horror film, not an adventure. Expect dread, not Brendan Fraser one-liners.

The Mummy showtimes in Karachi
Three cinemas running it on opening day. The big story is Nueplex Askari IV, which is going aggressive on this release with 42 showtimes, Urdu dubs, and late-night slots Cinepax and Cinegold will not match.
| Cinema | Opening weekend showtimes | Languages | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nueplex Askari IV | 42 | English, Urdu | Deepest Karachi schedule. Six Urdu shows on Friday alone. Late-night and early-AM slots. |
| Cinepax Ocean Mall | 27 | English | Runs through April 23. English only, three shows per day on opening weekend. |
| Nueplex DHA | 22 | English | Strong Friday and Saturday coverage. English only at this location. |
Karachi opening night (Friday, April 17) — the highlights
- Nueplex Askari IV: 3:00 PM (Urdu), 3:20 PM (English), 4:15 PM (English), 4:30 PM (Urdu), 6:00 PM (Urdu), 6:05 PM (English), 6:55 PM (English), 7:40 PM (Urdu), 8:40 PM (English), 8:45 PM (Urdu), 10:05 PM (Urdu), 10:30 PM (Urdu), 11:20 PM (Urdu), 11:25 PM (English), 01:15 AM (Urdu), 02:00 AM (English), 02:25 AM (Urdu), 03:40 AM (Urdu)

- Cinepax Ocean Mall: 3:30 PM, 6:45 PM, 9:45 PM (all English)
Cinegold Karachi is not listed yet. If you were planning to watch it there, check back — Cinegold usually adds new releases a day or two after Friday. The Cinegold Karachi page updates automatically when new shows go live.
If you're in Karachi, Nueplex Askari IV is the obvious pick. Twelve-plus Urdu shows on opening weekend, late-night coverage that runs past 3 AM Saturday morning. If you want the full horror atmosphere, book one of the 11 PM or later slots.
For every movie in Karachi this week, the Karachi page has the full listing.
The Mummy showtimes in Islamabad
Islamabad has the lightest coverage of the three cities. Two cinemas. Both Cinepax. Three shows on opening day.
| Cinema | Opening weekend showtimes | Languages | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cinepax Jinnah Park | 17 | English | Two shows on Friday: 3:30 PM and 9:15 PM. Runs through April 23. |
| Cinepax World Trade Center | 8 | English | One show on Friday at 3:00 PM. One per day through the week. |
Islamabad opening night (Friday, April 17)
- Cinepax Jinnah Park: 3:30 PM, 9:15 PM
- Cinepax World Trade Center: 3:00 PM
Cinegold Islamabad has not listed The Mummy yet. This is a gap — Cinegold Islamabad is a major cinema and usually adds big releases. Check the Islamabad page through Friday morning. Listings update multiple times a day.
If you are in Islamabad and want a Friday night show, 9:15 PM at Cinepax Jinnah Park is the only real option. If that sells out, your fallback is the 3:00 PM matinee at WTC or the Saturday slots.
Price comparison: cheapest vs. premium
Ticket prices are not in Derooj's database — they are set at each cinema's booking checkout. What follows is a general guide based on standard Pakistani cinema pricing as of April 2026. Always confirm at the booking step.
| Tier | Approximate range (PKR) | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cheapest standard 2D | Rs. 800 – 1,000 | Cinestar (all locations), Cue Cinemas, Nueplex standard |
| Mid-tier 2D | Rs. 1,000 – 1,500 | Cinepax Packages Mall, Cinepax Ocean Mall, Cinepax Jinnah Park, Universal Emporium standard, Nueplex Askari IV premium |
| Gold / Ultra lounge | Rs. 1,500 – 2,500 | Universal Emporium Gold, Universal Emporium Ultra |
| Platinum / top-tier | Rs. 2,500+ | Cinegold Platinum (when Cinegold lists the film) |
Rough ranking for the best value-for-money:
- Cinestar Township or Xinhua Mall — cheapest Lahore option. You get a standard 2D show at a significantly lower price than Cinepax or Universal.
- Cinepax standard across all cities — the default mid-tier. Decent sound, clean halls, mid-range pricing.
- Universal Emporium Ultra — if you want the premium experience for The Mummy and want the recliner + tray setup. Worth it for a horror film where comfort matters.
For a horror film specifically, sound quality matters more than recliners. Nueplex DHA and Askari IV have the best sound systems in Karachi for mid-tier pricing. Universal Emporium Ultra or Gold is the Lahore premium pick.
Price data is not yet pulled into Derooj. We are working on adding it. For now, the cinema's own booking page shows the exact price once you pick a seat. Booking links: Bookme.pk (Cinepax and Cinestar), Nueplex.com, cuecinemas.com, cinegoldplex.com, universalcinemas.com.pk.
IMAX and 3D: not happening
The Mummy (2026) was not produced for IMAX or 3D. No cinema in Pakistan is showing it in either format. Every showtime across all 229 scheduled shows is 2D.
If you want an IMAX experience, Pakistan does not currently have a working IMAX screen running first-run films anyway. For 3D horror, there is nothing on the schedule this week.
Booking tips
1. Book the first two weeks. Horror films drop screens fast in Pakistan after the second weekend. By April 24, expect Cinestar and Cinepax to cut Mummy to one or two daily shows. Nueplex tends to hold releases longer.
2. Urdu vs English. The Urdu dub is only available at Nueplex Askari IV (Karachi) and Universal Emporium (Lahore). If you want Urdu, those are your only options as of April 16. Every other cinema is English only.
3. Late-night showings. Nueplex Askari IV is running shows at 11:20 PM, 11:25 PM, 01:15 AM, 02:00 AM, and 02:25 AM on opening day into Saturday. These are the best slots for a horror film — the atmosphere is different after midnight.
4. Weekday matinees for quieter halls. Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 PM shows at Cinepax locations are usually sparsely attended. If you prefer empty halls, go then. If you want the full crowded horror reaction experience, Friday or Saturday evening is the play.
5. Universal Ultra recliners go fast. If you want the Ultra lounge at Universal Emporium, book at least 24 hours out. The 9:45 PM Friday and Saturday Ultra slots sell out first.
6. Check for updates. Cinegold has not listed Mummy yet in any city. This can change. Derooj re-scrapes every three hours. Check derooj.com for the latest.
